The heart of your new piece is a natural Rhode Island beach pebble, tumbled to perfection by the Atlantic Ocean. But you know how even the most gorgeous pebbles you pick up at the beach lose their luster by the time you get home? Yeah. I give the pebbles a little help in keeping their natural glow by conditioning them with mineral oil and beeswax. At some point those will wear off, and the stone may start looking a little more ashy. If you want to return its glory, just dab it all over with mineral oil and then with beeswax. I use a baby toothbrush to do that. Never use food oils. Those get rancid and start to smell. The sterling silver parts can be polished with any silver polishing cloth, but I would not submerge the piece in a polish.
